This is the winter that will never end

Do you guys remember that song from, I think it was the Lamb Chops show, or something? We used to sing it on the school buses during field trips to annoy the teachers: “This is the song that never ends. Yes, it goes on and on my friends…”

Well, that’s the way I feel about this winter. Here in southeast Michigan, we’re in the middle of having 6-8 inches of snow dumped on us. On March 12. That’s right, spring begins NEXT WEEK. Talk about unfair.

I don’t like to complain too much about the weather; it’s Mother Nature, there’s not much you can do about it. Plus, soon enough we’ll be enjoying another perfect Michigan summer with low humidity, blue skies, and plenty of Great Lakes and their sparkling waters within an easy driving distance. But until then…Michigan winter. No, scratch that, the never-ending Michigan winter.

Here’s to waiting for April…
